The Third Entente Regional Message Board
Loading...The provisional government in Myanmar has started to support the government of the Federation, predicting that Myanmar could be under threat from any number of radicals who found take control. Sri Lanka, Israel and India have also supported the government to varying degrees.
India has also sent weapons and support to the BNR, offering military training and recognition as well.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Turkey have sent weapons and monetary support to the ISSA’s moderate factions, with the Saudi’s wanting Al-Qaeda to be weakened as part of the movement.
Egypt has urged the nationalist movements it has supported to rise up now and fight against all sides to secure the independence of several new Muslim brotherhood led states. Qatar has also secretly sent money to these movements.
Chaos on the Nile
Egypts military campaign in Libya hadn’t exactly gone as planned, and the fights against the Libyan national army and the AUM had not gone as planned and had seen the Egyptian military humiliated against a much weaker force. These defeats had shown that Egypt wasn’t as militarily capable as first thought, and many Sudanese began to question why they were standing for the Egyptian control of their country. Protests across Sudan and even in Egypt began to spiral out of control and by the 15th of September a massive uprising had started across Sudan.
In Kosti, protesters and former Sudanese officers raised the blue, yellow, green flag of Sudan and declared the Republic of the White Nile. The Sudan Democratic forces had adopted a strategy of decentralisation, with SDF cells told to establish republics in various regions of Sudan with the intent to unify into a single unified Sudan after the fact. Combat between SDF cells and the Egyptian military has become widespread.
Fighting has even occurred in Egypt, with the Egyptian Resistance Forces and the East Nile Democratic Front(a Coptic Christian group, have risen up in southern Egypt, with the ERF fighting the Egyptian security forces in Aswan and Luxor.
Egyptian president Saabir el-Hosseini has stated that he will be pulling out of Egypt and will be concentrating efforts on combatting this uprising.
These uprisings have caused an intense reactions from the Egyptian regime, on the 18th of September, the Mukhabarat and military intelligence organised a purge across Egypt in territory the government controlled, suspected opposition sympathisers, especially Copts and Sudanese in Darfur, were dragged out of their homes and executed.
The Emir has accepted this and needs support in defeating the Islamists in Turkestan.
with a formation of a comunist state to the southern border of the empire alarm bells have rung. Many in the northern provinces can still remember the times under the northern people's republic and the crimes commited against them. Already provincal troops have moved to the border and began to set uo defences. An emergency session has been called in the great Yuan on what to do with thr state. Already many are calling for a full military intervention to prevnt the roots of communism from spreading in asia.
Myanmar situation
The provisional government has held elections in Myanmar, after the first real lead up to an election, the votes were counted and the National League for Democracy had won the election. Aung San Suu Kyi Has been sworn in as the president of Myanmar and a cabinet has been appointed. Myanmar has developed relatively well over the last year and a half, although development has mostly been seen in Naypyidaw and Yangon, with rural areas being neglected to a certain degree. Despite the central government and military now being reorganised, the various ethnic factions in their own regions still hold considerable influence and in many cases have been overruling the central government, limiting central government support to Bamar regions.
In Kachin state, the local government has even issued the so called inter-Myanmar passports, and limiting who can influence Kachin, Khun Wa, who is the State Counsellor of Kachin State, has sought to limit Bamar immigration to Bamar state. Khun Wa has been controversial though, his radical Christian viewpoint has made him unpopular with the Buddhist population of Kachin State.
The US government extends recognition to the Provisional Government, to the Philippines, and to Thailand. A full offer of support to the Provisional Government and to anyone willing to fight the Communists and Islamists is opened up.
